Sledge hockey to become permanent in Sherbrooke

October 11, 2011

Back in June of this summer, the Record had reported on a determined mother, Dorothée Roy, who was on a mission to bring sledge hockey to Sherbrooke to allow her son Samuel, an 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy, to practice the sport he loves without having to travel long distances every weekend.
At the time, Roy was excited that the new Complex Sportif Thibault GM had agreed to have her host a free demonstration of sledge hockey (sometimes referred to as adapted hockey), open to the public in hopes of generating interest in the sport around the Townships.
