South Koreans Min Na On and Ahn Shi Hyun are the early clubhouse leaders at the CN Canadian Women’s Open after both carded 3-under 69 today.
Maude-Aimee Leblanc of Sherbrooke finished at 2-under 70 on a rainy opening day of play at the $2.25 million LPGA event.
Mariajo Uribe of Colombia was at 5 under after 15 holes. And defending champion Michele Wie was at 2 under after 11.
Sidney Crosby is expected to make a full recovery, but it’s going to take some time.
The Pittsburgh Penguins captain - who hasn’t played since suffering a concussion in early January - has visited specialists in Georgia and Michigan. The prognosis is Crosby will make a complete recovery, but doctors are hesitant about predicting when he’ll return to full health.
Crosby is expected to be back in Pittsburgh in the next few weeks, where he will continue to work toward a return to the ice.
