The Sherbrooke Phoenix have finalized some major changes in its line-up with the announcement that Brent Turnbull, Jérémie Beaudry, and Anthony Verret have been traded to the Quebec Remparts.
In return for left-winger Turnbull, Phoenix General Manager Patrick Charbonneau gets back the fifth choice in the 2013 draft that had gone to Quebec in a deal that brought Russian forward Denis Kamaev earlier this year. Charbonneau also gets 18-year old rookie defenseman Jean-Philippe Lebrasseur.
The Drummondville Voltigeurs beat the Sherbrooke Phoenix 5-4 in a shootout in the last game before the Christmas break Friday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The Palais des Sports was dressed in red and even Santa Claus attended the game as the highway 55 and division rivals put on a great show for the 3,305 fans present.

‘Tis the season of little running but instead of adding inches to your waistline. Think of snow shoeing, cross country skiing, the treadmill or swimming to defeat the eggnog monster while winning another year out of last year’s jeans.
When he entered the NBA in 2006, the high-end projection for Toronto Raptors forward Andrea Bargnani was that he was the next Dirk Nowitzki; a nearly seven-footer with guard skills and three-point range. The soft-spoken kid from Italy was projected to be the cornerstone of the franchise. To carry the Raptors out of the post-Vince Carter funk and, along with Chris Bosh, make the Raptors a force in the Eastern Conference.
