2016 Charles Bruneau bike tour kicks off

The Annual Charles Bruneau bike tour, which benefits the Charles-Bruneau Cancer Centre Foundation’s work to support children and families living with childhood cancers, kicked off its 2016 edition in Sherbrooke on Wednesday afternoon. Now in its 21st year the tour will see 500 cyclists cover 600km over the course of six different routes that span the province from east to west. Spread out over the course of four days at the beginning of July, the tour has set the goal of raising more than $3 million for the work of the Charles-Bruneau Cancer Centres throughout Quebec.

“We are creating links with the families we meet,” said spokesperson Eve Landry, “these children become our motivators in training for the event.”
