Fire contained at Centre des Foires

Thursday afternoon, the Sherbrooke Events Centre was evacuated when a fire broke out in an exhibitors booth requiring the complete evacuation of the main hall. About 450 people were forced to exit the premises.
The flames were quickly contained by the Centre personnel and put out with the help of the Sherbrooke firefighters. Activities resumed some 45 minutes after the incident was declared.
 The Salon industriel de l'Estrie will continue its weekend show as originally planned.
