Founding father’s South Stukely store destroyed by fire

A major fire in South Stukely last week that brought five volunteer fire departments and 40 volunteers to the rescue resulted in the landmark building connected to the early beginnings of the Eastern Townships becoming a mere heap of rubble and stone.
Gary Richards described the event as the end of another era.
