On October 24, the annual Ploughmen's Supper and Award Night was held at the Ives Hill Community Centre with a good and happy crowd. The food and camaraderie was all the best. Here we get to meet some people we do not often see and learn of their expertise in ploughing with tractors or horses.
Ernestine had the honour and pleasure of presenting some prizes and the Floyd Kerr Trophy and money on his behalf. He was just not well enough to attend. Thank you Floyd, it was a pleasure!
Arnold MacKeage, a member and Warden of Unity #8, also Grand Master of Grand Lodge of Quebec, presented the Trophy and cheque on behalf of Unity #8. This has been an annual presentation for many years as has the Floyd Kerr Trophy.
We had a great time and were more than pleased to do this as we have attended this event for several years.
Congratulations to all who won and all who participated!
