The Université de Sherbrooke has had better luck negotiating with its administrative personnel than with its support staff, as the Association of administrative and professional personnel (APAPUS) and the university settled on an agreement in principle Monday night.
After 18 months of discussions and negotiating the two parties reached an agreement on the renewal of the APAPUS collective agreement.
The deal will not be made official until the members of APAPUS vote on the agreement during a general meeting on Thursday afternoon, but the representatives of the union will recommend that their members accept.
Neither party can comment on the proposed agreement until Thursday’s vote is taken.
