Volunteers have again this year made the difference for clients at the CHSLD Horace Boivin long term care center located in Waterloo. On Saturday morning they were frying eggs, ham, bacon and home fried potatoes while others were tending to cooking up beans, popping up toast and serving the many who attended this fun, open community event. According to the center’s activity organizer Jean-Philip Mallette, ten volunteers offered their time to cook up over seventy five breakfast meals and attend to the many who turned out. “The money we raise all goes to purchasing Christmas gifts and activities for the clients during the Holiday season,” he said. “ The breakfast is a big success again this year because of our volunteers, they are great. They make all the difference.”
