Windsor’s new LNAH team dubbed the Wild

August 21, 2011

Windsor Wild new acquisition Samuel Grenache sports the team’s new jersey, adorned with an “angry bear.”

Jerseys that used to be adorned with a drawing of an angelic figure will now sport an angry bear carrying a hockey stick as the Saint-François de Sherbrooke officially become the Windsor Wild.
The North American Hockey League’s (LNAH) newest team has officially chosen their logo and jerseys for the 2011-2012 season. The image of the bear pays homage to the former Windsor team, les Papetiers, whose logo also sported the animal.
Inspired by the NHL’s Minnesota Wild team, the Windsor Wild will wear red jerseys at home and white jerseys while playing away, each containing green, red and cream-coloured detailing.
Also featured on the jerseys will be the logo of the team’s major sponsor, restaurant le Bonheur d’Italie de Windsor.
