SHS “Discovery Fridays” offer visitors a walk through history

History fans in the Sherbrooke area are getting a treat this summer courtesy of the Sherbrooke Historical Society’s “Discovery Fridays” program. Every Friday in July and August the society has been offering free guided tours of different key parts of Sherbrooke’s historical downtown to those visitors with an interest in what was and a willingness to wander. The society is offering four different summer tours on a rotation that is set to start again at the beginning this week.

“We’ve had about 15 to 20 people per activity,” said the society’s Roxanne Vince, stating that the experience has been quite successful so far.
