During Friday’s COVID-19 briefing, Deputy Premier Geneviève Guilbault gave an encouraging report on the number of hospitalizations and the number of new cases detected, which remains stable despite the increase in the number of tests performed.
The Province currently has 47,411 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those, 927 are in the Estrie region, where there have been no new cases in the past two days and no COVID-related deaths since April 24.
The total number of deaths in the province is 3,984, an increase of 184 over the last three days.
There are 1,435 hospitalizations with 170 patients in intensive care.
According to the Quebec Public Health Institute’s website there are 14,331 confirmed COVID-19 recoveries in the province.
