Daycare workers were picketing in Sherbrooke on Tuesday as a part of a series of rotating strikes that will be taking place across the province this week. The strike days were approved by the FIPEQ-CSQ, one of the province’s daycare workers’ unions, at the end of the month of September.
“We represent more than 3,000 workers in daycare centres at close to 120 establishments across the province,” said Anne Dionne, deputy Vice-President of the CSQ, explaining that six of those centres and about 100 of the employees were participating in Tuesday’s strike.
