My Take – By Gordon Lambie

Last year on Easter morning, my family got up early and climbed to the top of a nearby hill to see the sunrise. As I recall, we didn’t quite beat the sun over the horizon, but the hill helped to make it seem like we arrived on time.
It was one of our only activities out of the house on what is usually a packed holiday weekend, and even if it left me tired for the rest of the day, I’m really glad we did it. It was something special to remember about that day, even though all of our normal traditions were impossible.
This whole year has been filled with moments of disappointment and disruption, but I’ve been thinking for a while now about the idea of going back up that hill this coming Sunday. It’s a little thing, but it makes me smile.
