According to Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Aurélie Guindon, there were a number of accidents and vehicles that went off the road on Christmas day, but no life threatening incidents were reported in the Townships. One of the more serious accidents happened at around 12:40 p.m. on Monday on Route 108 in Cookshire. The accident was a collision between two vehicles, but a third was implicated when it reached the accident and was unable to stop. See full story in the Dec. 27 Record.
