The City of Sherbrooke was on flood watch for most of the day on Thursday after significant rainfall raised the level of the Saint-François River above 15 feet. The city’s flood protocols kick in at 19 feet, and some forecasts called for the water to get that high, but overall precipitation over the course of the day was less than expected and the water level began to drop over the course of the day.
