Hydro ­Sherbrooke rates to ­increase in April

Sherbrooke residents who get their power through Hydro Sherbrooke instead of Hydro Quebec will see a very slight increase in their electrical bill starting April 1. At a special meeting at noon on Monday, the city council approved a 0.9 per cent increase to the average tariff for electricity from the municipal power utility as a way of harmonizing rates with those of Hydro-Quebec.
