The Loom is a colourful and one-of-a-kind boutique. It is one of the younger businesses in town, with its one-year anniversary coming up this April, and the products in the store reach people from all walks of life and all age groups. The boutique’s goal is to diffuse products that increase the wellbeing of the clients, but most importantly, to spread good vibrations. The store products include all things spiritual: tarot cards, crystals, New Age books, incense and sage to burn. It’s a sweet spot to get your hands on some very beautiful and locally-made products, including goods that everyone in the household can enjoy: soaps, candles, and essential oils – to name a few. If another incentive is at all needed to sell you on checking out The Loom; they have a plethora of tropical plants that are worthy of adding to anyone’s plant collection.
The boutique represents a dream come true for the store owner, Laura McConnell. She worked for years in the health care system as a caregiver and views this new path as an extension of that work. It is a way for her to continue helping others heal, but this time around, with different practices such as through crystal healing and offering Reiki services by Isabel Giasson.
