BCN Staff – It was a beautiful sunny Sunday for the 10th edition of La Marche / La Course, La Maison Au Diapason’s most important annual fundraising event. Roughly 700 participants of all ages came to walk or run in memory of someone close to them or simply take on a physical challenge. The event began at Bromont arena, where several exhibitors were on hand.
Overall, the event raised $290,000 for the hospice. Plunged into a festive atmosphere as soon as they arrived on the site, the participants were invited to warm up with a session offered by the Cardio Plein Air coaches, just before their departure.
Four courses were offered to participating walkers or runners: 11 km, 10 km, 6.5 km or 3.5 km on the multifunctional trails of the City of Bromont. Throughout their journey, enthusiastic volunteers offeredthe participants water, apples from Verger Caron and delicious cookies provided by Canaël as an incentive.
