The Eastern Townships School Board (ETSB) started off the New Year with a new Director General. Kandy Mackey, previously Assistant DG, received the appointment during a special meeting of the council of commissioners just before the Christmas holidays. While there is often a large learning curve and a period of adjustment in a new job, Mackey has been with the ETSB for 21 years as a teacher, principal and director, so she was ready to get to work immediately.
