This summer, while many businesses and organizations were forced to close due to the pandemic, the Lennoxville and District Women’s Centre (LDWC) made the decision to move activities outside, and create a Community Garden.
Nine women and their children were involved in the garden, sharing the work of harvests throughout the summer. Everything needed to grow the vegetables was provided by the LDWC, including seeds, fertilizer, and tools. Also offered were online workshops for the community where they could learn the basics of organic gardening.
