Abercorn artist raises money for Parkinson’s Foundation

When Suzanne Martin was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 20 years ago, she vowed to do everything in her power to continue living life to the fullest, which resulted in the now 72-year-old Abercorn resident diving deeper into her passion for the arts.
Martin, who favours watercolour and acrylic in her painting style, is eager to give back to the Parkinson’s Foundation. She told The Record that the organization has helped her a lot throughout her journey. On Friday, she will be holding a Tea & Fashion Show fundraiser.
The event will be held at the Sutton Art School, where participants can take part in an English High Tea afternoon session, as well as peruse, and purchase, Martin’s latest artistic endeavour with Le Galeriste, a company helping artists discover a new revenue stream through clothes.
