The Parc Découverte Nature in Coaticook officially launched its new Acoatica interactive adventure game at the Baldwin’s Mills fish hatchery on Tuesday. Completed at a cost of nearly $3 million, the activity blends the site’s existing fishing education and experiences with a series of interactive video game panels on different parts of the lives of fish and responsible fish population management, as well as an outdoor playground and cooking station.
“We’re very pleased,” said Caroline Sage, the director of the Parc Découverte Nature and the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook. “This is a project we’ve been working on for a year and a half, but rather than rush to completion we said we would take the time to do things properly and adapt to the new way of doing things that the pandemic brought with it.”
