All things green at Richmond Legion annual auction

Submitted by Gordon Alexander – Saturday marked the 29th anniversary of the ‘Green Sale’ auction at the Legion in Richmond, where some 90 potent buyers turned out to bid on various green items marking the beginning of St Patrick’s Day-Month in town. The event is the top fundraiser for the legion. The event earned $5,000 at that year’s sale. The items were gathered over the last 3 months, with hundreds of trinkets, furniture pieces, food, clothing and a sundry array of other items and novelties, all in the colour green.
