Annie Godbout confirmed as Vallières’ successor

Annie Godbout was installed as the official candidate for the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) in the riding of Richmond for the upcoming 2018 general election on Sunday at an investiture ceremony held in Windsor. Godbout’s candidacy follows the announcement earlier this year by current Member of the National Assembly Karine Vallières that she will not be seeking re-election in order to spend more time with her family. "It's a privilege and an honour to take over from the Vallières family. I am a woman of action, and my political engagement takes place on the ground, in contact with citizens,” said Godbout. “In the coming months I will criss-cross the riding of Richmond to meet with elected officials, organizations and residents, to listen to them and further my understanding of the issues in the region. My objective is clear: to be a sizeable ally in making the projects that we care about move forward." See full story in the Tuesday, May 1st edition of The Record.
