Every year over the last ten years plus we have had an annual corn roast. Even last year with the pandemic having closed us up and bunker down, we still managed to enjoy our corn and celebrate the season.
This year while husking the corn we came across an oddity that was embraced as a rare occurrence and something so scarcely seen by many. Mrs. Marthe Bolduc, a young 98-year-old resident, was bewildered to see perfect conjoined cobs of corn. “I have never seen such a thing in my life,” she said delighted. The event filled bellies with sweet local corn and boosted spirits, it was enjoyed by all.
