Another 1,218 cases of COVID-19 reported Monday

The Province of Quebec reported 1,218 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the total number of people infected since the start of the pandemic to 125,072. The data also report 25 new deaths, for total of 6,651. Among these 25 deaths, six occurred in the previous 24 hours and 19 occurred between November 9 and November 14. The number of hospitalizations increased by four compared to the previous day, for a cumulative total of 591. Among these, the number of people in intensive care decreased by two, for a total of 87.
Locally, the weekly press conference typically held by Public Health Director Dr. Alain Poirier to provide an update on the situation in the Estrie region did not take place due to a technical error. The region reported 53 new cases with no new deaths. The number of hospitalizations decreased by one to 21, and the number of people in intensive care remained stable at two. The number of people considered to have recovered from the virus is 105,998 across the province and 2,956 in the Estrie.
