A 69-year old man was killed Wednesday when his all-terrain vehicle (ATV) swerved unexpectedly. Emergency services responded to the call on chemin de la Montage Rouge in Lingwick around 10 a.m Wednesday. Preliminary information indicates that the man was working on his property clearing trees with an ATV when, at one point, the ATV he was riding on swerved.
The man was found trapped under the vehicle by a relative. He was transported to the Lac-Mégantic hospital centre where his death was pronounced. An investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of this event which, for the moment, appear to be an accidental death.
