Ayer’s Cliff apartment project opposition group says town is ignoring residents

Joëlle Martineau, one of three women who started a petition to stop Ayer’s Cliff from going through with an apartment building project, believes the town council is not listening to its residents.
Last week, Mayor Vincent Gérin told The Record that the council has been transparent about the proposed building on Scott Street, which will hold 32 apartments. But according to Martineau, the project remains shrouded in mystery.
“We don’t know if it’s going to be low cost, or high cost, or if it will be a condo after some years as apartments,” she said. “We don’t know yet.”
