When word got out that Lennoxville Elementary School was looking for support with their extra-curricular sports program, the Bishop’s Varsity Rugby teams were quick to rise to the occasion. Coach Charles Goode brought the request to a team meeting and was amazed by the positive response that he got from his players. Several players from both the men’s and women’s teams indicated interest in running a noon hour and after school program for the students. In all, 18 rugby players are participating in this joint venture which benefits approximately 30 students from grades 4-6. See full story in the Wednesday, March 7th edition of The Record.
