Jessica Belanger (Sherbrooke) of the women’s hockey team and Yassin Naji (Lunel, France/Lycee Pothier Orleans) of the men’s basketball team are the Provigo, Robert Lafond Bishop’s University Athletes of the Week for the week ending Jan. 27th. Belanger, the Sherbrooke, Que. native led Bishop’s with 13 points in their six games this past weekend. She had eight goals and five assists, as the Gaiters beat the US Naval Academy and Liberty DII and lost to Liberty DI. She had four goals against Liberty DII in the Gaiters 8-1 win. Naji, from Lunel, France, put up six points on Thursday night in the Gaiters 84-80 loss to the McGill Redmen.
