The federal government was all ears Monday, listening to the needs of constituents at a pre-budgetary consultation in Sherbrooke. Marie-Claude Bibeau, Member of Parliament for Compton-Stanstead and Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Élisabeth Brière, Member of Parliament for Sherbrooke and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages (Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec) put out the call for groups and individuals to prepare a brief highlighting what they feel are the most important issues to consider when preparing the upcoming budget.
In total, around 40 people representing 27 different groups from the Compton-Stanstead and Sherbrooke ridings attended the consultation. See full story in the Tuesday, Feb. 11 edition of The Record.
