In a follow-up to the notice published in The Record on Tuesday, the Estrie office of the Provincial Transport ministry clarified earlier this week that when the Bishop’s Bridge reopens on the weekend, it will be to all traffic. Although the bridge will only have one lane open between July 1 and July 7, that lane will allow large trucks to pass in addition to smaller vehicles, as the replacement of the bridge deck has removed the need for the 18-tonne weight limit that was applied in late January.
