Border closure extended to July 21

On Tuesday the federal government announced that the Canada/US border will remain closed to non-essential travel for another month.
Exemptions were made in recent weeks for citizens in the US with family who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. In those cases people can come to Canada and stay with family on the condition that they quarantine for 14 days, which is the minimum length of a visit.
Cross border travel for recreational purposes, however, will remain prohibited until July 21.
