Guy Patry of the Marché Tradition grocery store in Ayer’s Cliff is organizing a two-day bottle and can collection to support the Massawippi Valley Health Centre (CSVM). According to Patry, Since the collection will take place during store hours on two Saturdays, May 23 and May 30, people with donations are asked to come around the back of the store via Wulftec Street, where a 53 foot trailer will be parked alongside a small red tent.
A team of volunteers, coordinated by Lysianne Sheard, will be stationed at the tent to accept donations from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The team will sort all of the cans and bottles outside of the store and put them in the trailer for collection. All of the proceeds will go to supporting the CSVM, which has remained open since the start of the pandemic.
