There’s something fishy going on in North Hatley these days, but if you ask Tiffany Standish and Steve Groves they’ll tell you that’s far from a bad thing. Together the two operate the Casa Wippi Clam Shack at 110 Main Street, which has been coming into its own as a feature of the local landscape over the last several summers. “Each year we try to do something different, one step at a time,” said Standish, explaining that this is the third year that the shack is in business. In its second season, the pair added new windows to what had been known as ‘Jay’s place’, and last year they closed a month early to install a rooftop patio. “We’ve had nothing but positive feedback,” she noted. Standish and Groves are likely familiar faces for anyone who knows the Golden Lion Pub in Lennoxville, but Groves said that they both stepped back from that establishment a few years ago.
