With the green light from Quebec public health, Camp Massawippi announced this week that it will be able to reopen this year and welcome campers on site in Ayer’s Cliff for overnight respite camps. In Montreal, in partnership with Centre Philou, Camp Massawippi will be providing a safe and secure day camp experience at the Philip E. Layton School.
Founded in 1951, Camp Massawippi offers recreational, educational and leisure activities to youth with physical challenges through programs that maximize their abilities and autonomy. Camp Massawippi contributes to families’ quality of life through the respite that participation in the Ayer’s Cliff and Montreal camp programs provide. Offering a bilingual state-of-the art environment, Camp Massawippi also collaborates with organizations that have similar objectives to facilitate access to adapted sports, recreational, and leisure activities for individuals with special needs.
There are still spots available for this summer. Details are available on the camp’s website at http://campmassawippi.com.
