Canadian Dairy Commission appoints Serge Riendeau

On May 14, Coaticook native Serge Riendeau stepped out of retirement and into the top job at the Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC). With over 40 years of experience as a dairy farmer in the area and president of Agropur for 15 years, Riendeau said he looks forward to the opportunity to share his knowledge and experience for the betterment of the dairy industry both locally, and across Canada. “When the opportunity presented itself, I figured I’d offer my services,” said Riendeau, explaining that it wasn’t planned, but he welcomed the chance to get involved. “I’ve had plenty of experience. I told myself that if they didn’t choose me, that’s fine, but I’m very proud and willing now to share my knowledge and continue the excellent work of my predecessors.” See full story in the Thursday, May 24th edition of The Record.
