Although there were several photos circulating on social media Thursday, a car accident in Ayer’s Cliff involving at least one overturned vehicle appears to have gone under the radar.
The Record contacted Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Louis-Philippe Ruel to gather more information about the accident, but he was unable to provide any details regarding the overturned vehicle, or the circumstances that led to the crash. He said to call back later.
The Record reached out three more times, and each phone call ended the same way — with Ruel telling the newspaper to call back when he got more information. And despite having first responders at the scene, the local fire department was also unable to provide many details.
According to the Memphrémagog Fire Board, which sends first responders to Ayer’s Cliff, there were three injuries, each of them requiring a visit to the hospital. But there is nothing as far as the extent of the injuries, like if any of the people involved in the accident is in critical condition.
