A variety of Easter celebrations will be held in Magog on the first weekend of April, either through interactive rallies or in a more traditional fashion.
The non-profit organization Corporation Événements Magog is organizing an interactive rally on April 3-4-5 to celebrate Easter. Called the Easter Elections, this is the first official event the organization has put in place after the cancellation of previous ones because of governmental restrictions. The organization was created in 2020 as part of the city’s desire to develop the new downtown area and celebrate Magog’s four big festivities (water and snow festivals, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day, and Canada Day).
“We are trying to re-ignite the local population’s desire to participate in something planned in advance. After more than one year of living with COVID-19, this is a way to reconnect with organized exterior activities,” said the event coordinator Charline Durand.
