The Société nationale de l’Estrie (SNE), mandated by the Quebec government to celebrate the Fête nationale du Québec, is inviting all citizens of the region to participate in large numbers in the many activities taking place on June 23 and 24.
In the Eastern Townships, people will have the opportunity to celebrate in style, with over 30 party sites spread across the region. The main regional event will take place again this year in Sherbrooke, featuring Les Trois Accords.
The festivities will take place downtown, on the site set up at 150 rue des Grandes-Fourches Sud, with doors opening at 5 p.m on Saturday.
In a press release, Etienne-Alexis Boucher, President of the SNE explained that for several months now, hundreds of Townshippers of all ages and origins have been devoting themselves to organizing Fête nationale festivities in their neighbourhoods, villages and towns.
“You’ll see that there’s something for everyone, whether it’s a large-scale show like the one in Sherbrooke, or a more intimate, family-friendly village celebration. You’re sure to find something to suit your taste this year, thanks to our wonderful Fête nationale organizers, who volunteer their time and energy year after year. Don’t hesitate to salute and thank them by visiting your nearest Fête nationale project!” commented Boucher.
