Cenotaph placement in the hands of the legion, town says

Last week, during its regular council meeting on Monday evening, the municipality of Ayer’s Cliff addressed the rumours circulating about the memorials located at the old legion building on Rosedale and next to the entrance to the Ayer’s Cliff Fairgrounds being moved. According to members of the public who attended the meeting, the mayor explained the proposal to move the memorials, but added that the final decision would be in the hands of Legion members and the community. The plan, which is still in the development stages, involves moving the two memorials to the pioneer cemetery located on Tyler Street.
