Cheers to 20 years!

After two decades of serving the public, a familiar face at the Lennoxville SAQ is now retired.

On April 24, Paulette Galvin worked her final shift. The assistant manager spent four years working in Sherbrooke and another 16 years in Lennoxville.

With customer service always top of mind, Galvin quickly worked her way up the chains and received numerous opportunities to move to other stores in the area. However, she always turned down the offers and decided to remain in Lennoxville. She said the decision was easy.

“Lennoxville is my home,” said Galvin. “When I was in Sherbrooke and I noticed there was a job opening in Lennoxville, I immediately took it  because I wanted to be back home.”

According to Galvin, she loved being in Lennoxville as everyone was friendly and it’s a family-oriented community. She highlighted the fact she enjoys interacting with her customers – the students in particular.

“They are so nice and easy to talk to. It’s good business to have the students in this town,” said Galvin. “I always enjoyed ordering things people needed, it was nice to be able to please all my customers.”
