Record Staff – As part of National Drowning Prevention Week, Sunday, July 15 to Saturday, July 21, the City of Sherbrooke will be offering prevention and education activities at its twelve outdoor swimming pools and its two municipal beaches. These activities are aimed at educating the population, particularly young people, about safe swimming in recreational water.
The mascot “Didi the PFD” (for personal flotation device) will tour outdoor pools and public beaches to provide information on the safe use of a life jacket. See full story in the Monday, July 16 edition of The Record.
