Coaticook CAB gets innovation award

The Coaticook MRC Centre for Volunteer Action (CAB) is proud to announce that it is one of five organizations (out of 51 applicants) to receive an Hommage bénévolat-Québec 2018 award in the category of Organizations. This award recognizes the contributions of organizations that have developed innovative strategies and methods to mentor and support volunteers and to promote volunteerism. "This award recognizes all the efforts we have made in recent years to promote volunteerism and raise awareness of its importance," explained CAB Chair Michèle Hamelin. Since 1987, the Coaticook MRC’s Volunteer Center has launched some interesting initiatives to highlight the work of volunteers in the region, including the Volunteer Action Campaign that features a community activist every week.
