Coaticook plans to install ferris wheel downtown

Coaticook will be installing a large, illuminated ferris wheel on Manège-militaire Street, between the Pavillon des arts et de la culture de Coaticook and Pratt Creek, starting on Dec. 9.
The first ride will be offered at 5 p.m., according to a press release, and the ferris wheel will offer visitors another angle for the town at 100 feet in the air. Folks will be asked to donate $2 to use the ferris wheel, which will go to the Centre d’action bénévole de la MRC de Coaticook.
The donations will be used to “support the preparation of Christmas baskets and for food assistance throughout the year.” The town’s latest attraction will be in operation from Dec. 9, 2022 to Jan. 8, 2023. It will be open Wednesday to Friday between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
