Lennoxville drivers take note: the Central Maine and Quebec Railway(CMQ) will be carrying out regular maintenance on the College Street level crossing in Lennoxville today, resulting in a closure of the road between Queen and Saint-Francis Streets.
Though the official detour for the work diverts traffic along Galt, Bowen, and Saint Francis Streets, CMQ representative Gabriel Tessier explained that Connolly and Samuel-Gratham streets will be accessible for drivers looking to avoid the ten kilometer route change.
“There will be a flagman,” Tessier explained. “Cars will be able to pass, but not trucks.”
The road closure is scheduled to be in place between 7:30am and 6:30pm and comes only three days after College Street was closed for repair work on the Bishop’s Bridge.
