A car accident on Saturday afternoon in Stanstead resulted in the death of 18-year-old Stanstead resident Jacob Dupré. According to a Sûreté du Québec spokesperson, the accident happened at around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon on Route 247 near chemin Villeneuve. According to preliminary reports, Dupré was driving a vehicle with four passengers. While approaching a curve in the road, the vehicle entered the opposite lane and collided with a car carrying two passengers.
