By Matthew McCully – The mood was festive on Friday morning at community aid as volunteers and staff prepared a holiday meal for delivery. The turkey and stuffing with cranberry and sugar pie was the final meals on wheels delivery before Christmas break. Additional frozen meals were also delivered for some clients to ensure they have easy-to-prepare food until the meals on wheels program resumes in January.
Volunteer drivers got into the holiday spirit by wearing Santa hats and enjoying some hot cider as they filled their thermal bags for delivery. Published in the Monday, Dec. 24 edition of The Record.
