This year saw so many ways the Eastern Townships community gave back to its seniors. The Grace Village Care Foundation would like to thank all our donors this year, and share some of our encouraging highlights from 2022!
The long-time goal of Dr. W. J. Klinck and the other Grace Village founders was to support seniors who could not afford nursing care. Their faith community of Grace Chapel was instrumental in helping start what was then “Grace Christian Home” in 1957, raising funds and donating labour and furniture. This group of believers has continued to support the Home financially and through volunteerism. This year, Grace Chapel made the difficult decision to close at the end of the year, selling their building to another church in the area and giving away the proceeds to local charities. The Grace Village Care Foundation was the happy recipient of a generous portion, bringing full circle the longstanding relationship between the two communities.
